Special Education Specialist
The Special Education Specialist AQ is designed to support experienced educators in strengthening their leadership through an equity-focused, anti-oppressive and anti-ableist lens. Building on the knowledge developed in Parts 1 and 2, educators will deepen their understanding of diverse learner needs, responsive instructional design, and the legal and policy frameworks that guide Special Education in Ontario.
Candidates deepen their understanding of inclusive, equitable, and research‑informed practice, with particular attention to systemic change, anti‑oppressive and anti‑ableist approaches, and Indigenous‑informed perspectives. By exploring diverse learning needs, issues of equity and bias, inclusive school cultures, and Ontario’s legal and ethical frameworks, participants consider how pedagogy, policy, and systemic structures influence student experiences and outcomes.
Registration opens July 21. Join the Waitlist to be notified when registration is available.
